ARQUIMEA designs, manufactures and commercializes axial, arterial and diode heat pipes for space applications. We provide off-the-shelf or custom profiles that combine the principles of thermal conductivity and phase transition to manage efficiently the heat between two solid interfaces.
Heat Pipes are passive heat transfer devices that combine the principles of thermal conductivity and phase transition to manage efficiently the heat between two solid interfaces. When the satellite reaches the desired position in orbit, our heat pipes regulate temperature and keep the overall systems temperature with high reliability.
ARQUIMEA’s heat pipes are available in three off-the-shelf profiles: axial, arterial and diode. We also offer custom profiles adapted to the needs and particularities of each mission. Moreover, our heat pipes are available for single bore, dual bore or quad bore, with straight, 2D bending and 3D bending.
The main application for heat pipes provide thermal control and maintain the correct temperature of the electronic systems of telecommunication, earth observation, navigation, science and exploration satellites.
We have worked on large projects with the main space agencies and satellite operating companies in different international missions, such as AMS-02, AMOS-4, Jupiter 2, Galileo or MTG.
Axial Grooved Heat Pipes are manufactured as a container made by extrusion with a longitudinal axial grooved structure.
The main features of our Axial Grooved Heat Pipes are:
Arterial Heat Pipes are manufactured with a metallic mesh which creates an artery and pumps the fluid. Liquid travels by the artery while vapor occupies the remaining tube section. The ArHP are made of Stainless Stell, that makes them especially useful for low CTE applications.
