Paris 13 June 2022 – ARQUIMEA, the technology company that operates globally in highly demanding sectors with more than 15 years of experience and 600 professionals, showcases for the first time in Eurosatory Q-SALM-40, its loitering UAS to enhance the capabilities and safety of the Armed Forces.

Q-SLAM-40 is a tactical multi-purpose aircraft system designed to perform safely and efficiently different types of short-range operations including protection, surveillance,

reconnaissance, target acquisition or damage assessment. It has been designed to tackle complex combat environments in special or conventional operations in the field or from fixed defensive positions.

ARQUIMEA is one of the main European manufacturers of loitering drones, a powerful and flexible proven solution already available, which can be adapted to the client’s requirements.

QLM-40 is a cost-effective, flexible, robust and durable system that can be easily transported by a two-man team in lightweight backpacks. The system can be deployed anywhere needed within minutes, ensuring a fast reaction time. This loitering system consists of a pneumatic launcher, an aerial platform and a ground control station including an antenna and a tablet to control the system and the flight parameters. The aerial platform airframe is made by a folding wing structure for quick and easy transportation.

The interest in loitering systems for defense is increasing with the recent international context. This technology solution has numerous advantages: the system is always under the control of the operator; it improves safety in operations and reduces collateral risk.

The technology company will also specialise in the manufacture, integration and testing of Ground Support Equipment and tooling (GSE) for the leading aeronautical companies. The company develops these projects at its facilities in Madrid, which have more than 6,000 m2 equipped with high-end machinery and clean rooms.

ARQUIMEA boasts decades of experience in the defence and aerospace sectors. Since its inception, its goal has been to provide innovative technological solutions to improve the security and capabilities of armies. You can visit ARQUIMEA at Hall 6 – K481.
