Due to the decrease in COVID-19 cases and, with it, the relaxation of travel restrictions, ARQUIMEA has closed its COVID-19 test centre at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport, operated under the Fly COVID Test brand.
In order to give a second life to the clinic’s furniture and fittings, and to be able to help in the social sphere, ARQUIMEA has donated all the centre’s furniture and fittings to the NGO REMAR España.
The donation will go to support the NGO in its fund-raising efforts through its furniture and clothing charity stores located in Catalonia.
All proceeds from the furniture and fittings will be used to assist unstructured families who are suffering from social exclusion, the economic crisis, addictions and/or delinquency, with a view to their rehabilitation and social reintegration.
REMAR has more than 40 years of experience in developing primary aid and social integration programmes. Through its national delegations in the countries in which it operates, it adapts its actions to local needs thanks to its network of more than 3,500 volunteers.
This initiative is part of ARQUIMEA’s commitment to improve society in a social and sustainable manner. It also highlights the company’s drive to have a positive impact on the communities in which it operates.
