ARQUIMEA will develop the NeRF technology foreseen in the REALINT project

November 30, 2023

The REALINT project is focused on advanced visualization of interior design scenes with a cutting-edge technology called Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) that combines different fields of Artificial Intelligence

ARQUIMEA will complete the scientific challenges necessary to enable the use of NeRF and virtual reality (VR) experiences

The results will be applied to the digitalization and improvement of processes in the value chain of design, manufacture, prescription and commercialization of products in the habitat sector

The REALINT project is focused on addressing the challenge of exploring, in a pioneering way in the habitat industry sector, the potential of Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF). This new technology, which will be developed by ARQUIMEA, unlike traditional photogrammetry techniques, combines different machine learning and computer graphics techniques to simplify the generation of 3D models and to achieve their visualization in real time from the acquisition of 2D images.

The NeRF technology will be adapted and improved by ARQUIMEA Research Center to achieve the photorealistic reconstruction of products and interior design scenes. From this development, its integration in different extended reality (XR) applications developed by the technology companies GVRE and PixelsHub will be analyzed. Also, this new technological approach will be tested and validated on different types of products and real installations of the participating companies Kriskadecor and Luxes.

The results of the REALINT project will be applied to the digitalization and improvement of processes in the value chain of design, manufacture, prescription and marketing of products in the habitat sector.

The REALINT project is co-financed by the Innovative Business Groupings Program (AEI) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, with the support of the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
