First ARQUIMEA space-qualified integrated circuits were launched onboard the Hispasat 36W-1 satellite
The launch of HISPASAT 36W-1 Satellite on January 28, 2017 is a milestone for ARQUIMEA as it is flying more than 600 units of the first microchips implemented by the Company for a space application. ARQUIMEA is responsible of the design, development and qualification of a chipset consisting of 24 analog and digital devices per hybrid module integrated in the active antenna DRA-ELSA.
The qualification and launching of the HISPASAT 36W-1 satellite consolidates ARQUIMEA as the first Spanish company with the capacity to develop full custom mixed-signal circuits for space. In addition, this is the first flight mission of the DARE digital library. With it, ARQUIMEA stands out as a European provider of analog, digital and mixed signal ASICs for future space programs.
